We had a pleasant holiday during 6 -12.Feb 2016 at Ao Muong Resort(101 room), the beautiful sight and kindly service give us unforgettable memory. Thanks from bottom of heart, we will happily recommend our friends to Koh Tao and stay in your resort. I would like give you some advice to help Ao Muong Resort to be more attractive: 1、 Change the electricity supply time: 12:30-14:30 (many guests need sleep at noon, and it is the hottest time in a day) ; 18:00-4:00 (4:00-6:00 no electricity is OK) No more cost, but more comfortable. 2、 Change yellow coarse sand to white fine sand: If the sand can be changed, Mango Bay will exceed Nayuan island; Since the beach is not long, the cost will be limited(perhaps 2 boat sand is enough): you can take off the surface yellow sand(60cm depth) into the sea , instead of white sand(90cm depth), and the wave will spread the white surface sand in the nearby beach. IF you dought the effect, you can try in a small scale on the west corner beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Очень красивая бухта, отель после реновации, много туристов приезжают на экскурсию именно в это место, для отдыхающих в отеле это минус :) цены в ресторане вполне вменяемые, учитывая расположение отеля, готовят очень вкусно! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The beach is from its nature very nice, clear water, many fishes...! So much plastic on the beach (they only through it behind the next big stone). The view from the bungalows is wonderful. But they don t care about the hotel, the entrance is old, without any decoration (there is no atmosphere...). The staff is friendly but the food is very basic. And altogether the hotel is absolutely overpriced.

Like the resort,very nice beach great place to snorkeling.Quiet location daily free boat transfer to city.The breakfast limited. Power was off during the day but does not effect our stay because overnight cooled drinks stayed in fridge. The islands surroundings need to look after better regular rubbish collection is a must otherwise the island will be a dump place soon! Coral reefs close to shore damaged by inexperienced visitors and divers.Mango bay was the best beach to stay.The resort s free wifi service was not working for 3 days and just get fixed when left in my last day.staff was very helpful. Hotel perfecto para estar a solas en la selva con playita. se come de maravilla. IMPRESCINDIBLE; contactar con el hotel para que te recojan y te lleven en barco porque es inaccesible por carretera. El barco es gratuito y tiene dos salidas, mañana y tarde, desde Mae Haad a Mango Bay y viceversa. La terraza del hotel es un escándalo y la comida es deliciosa.

Die Mango Bay ist eine einsame Bucht, in der man bombastisch schnorcheln kann. Das Resort liegt wunderschön und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und herzlich! Wir (familie mit 2 Kids +opa und Oma) haben uns total wohl gefühlt und empfehlen es uneingeschränkt weiter. Wer Party liebt, sollte allerdings lieber nach sairee gehen..

Hotel molto bello in una spiaggia bellissima ma di giorno e invasa dalle barche delle escursioni e dei sub, nei bungalow vicini al ristorante non si sente il generatore e si sta molto bene, il personale e gentilissimo, il ristorante un po caro ma la cucina e buona, peccato non ci sia un piccolo servizio di market non vendono neppure i beni di prima necessita , bisogna farsi portare con la barca in paese per acquistare il bere, le sigarette e tutto cio che serve. Perfect location for sea view and snorkeling. Warmly welcome & friendly service by stuffs. No signal of cellphone or telephone, and not convenient to go to the pier or other place for it is located alone in Mango Bay and the only way to go out is by boat, twice a day. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Do not hesitate to stay here if you are looking for some relaxing days away from busy areas! Booked 2 nights in advance but stayed 5 nights. Much better than NangYan Islands. Busy a few hours with charter boats and long tails but in the afternoon/evening you are alone on the beach. Perfect snorkeling with beatiful fish and corals just by the beach. Chat and rest of the staff made everything possible to make our stay comfortable and they of course suceeded. Possible to go to town twice a day with free hotel boat, perfect. No problem with electricity only 6 pm to 6 am, works just fine. Good standard for this kind of resort. Will go here again.

The hotel itself is located on a fantastic beach, a dream for snorkeling and diving. This is a place for people who are not looking for party, but for quietness and a slow lifestyle . Vey nice and friendly staff, but beds as hard as rocks. Should invest in overmatrasses. There are also no phone connection there and this should be informed on their web page. 定的是最贵的海景房，结果给的是海景房，但是坑爹的前面有课椰子树挡住了海景。旁边没有挡住的房间，要求替换，或者给钱升级都可以，但是一直没有人住也不给我。退房走的时候，到处都找不到人。虽然一早知道6点到6点停电。但是发现早上5点就停了，热水一点都不热。餐厅的东西贵不说，菜单上的未必有。早餐就2块面包，也加收多了100b。唯一的亮点就是海湾。浮潜的地方不错，可以看到很有层次的珊瑚。 [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Great place to chill in a beautiful landscape. It is the only hotel in the beautiful Mango bay. Isolated. Only way to reach it is by boat. Free shuttle boat two time a day to the main pier and center and back. Great place to snorkel, fishes are beautiful, reef is a bit damaged but stil, it is like swimming in an aquarium. Snorkeling equipement is avalaible for rental in the hotel for only 50bath a day. The hotel has a main building with standard rooms and seaview rooms. Standards rooms are not very good because small,dark and no view. The seaview rooms are great. They are bigger, with a balcony on the mango bay. Electrcity and wifi only between 6pm and 6 am (but who cares in such a beautiful place). Restaurant is ok with standard price, beautiful view from the restaurant. Breakfast is a weak point. Staff is young and nice.

Negatives:-This was the most expensive place we stayed in Thailand and so we expected much better accomodation. The main Hotel block consisted of 16 rooms on 2 floors arranged from front to back in groups of 4. Only the front 2 rooms on each floor have windows facing the sea, whilst the rear 2 rooms have windows to the path outside. We were in a room on the inside, hence no windows. This wouldn t have been so bad if there was electricity, but the power was only on overnight from 18:30 to 06:30 which also rendered the fridge useless! The walls were paper thin and the noise from other guests seemed excessively loud - most listening to their TVs while the power was on! Positives: Mango bay is very beautiful with some lovely snorkelling for those who want to explore. Ao Muong has a lovely restaurant- a high climb above the beach, with a lovely waiter and really good Thai food. It is currently the only place to eat since the only other resort is closed. The individual bungalows set high on the hillside did look lovely and would be worth paying extra for if you can afford it. There is not much to do here apart from diving/snorkelling, but the resort offers free boat trips to Ko Nang Yuan island. Walking/exploring is almost impossible! The boat transfer from Siree pier takes about 45 mins at a very slow pace - that s with a moderate swell! In worse conditions the boat will not operate! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Хороший отель, да хотя отель это и не главное, главное место где он находится - маленькая бухта из овальных скал и с собственным кораллово-ракушечным пляжем. Место дикое, да машине не доехать вообще.Если хотите уединённого отдыха - вам сюда. Я ездила вместо экскурсии. Кораллы в воде и рыбы всякие прямо возле берега плавают, маски выдают бесплатно. САМОЕ ВАЖНОЕ!!!! В этот отель идёт бесплатная лодка(2 раза в день) встречают по прибытию парома с САМУИ и ПАНГАНА. (я к сожалению этого не знала). Иначе, туда добраться стоит 1200 за лодку! I had a wonderful stay at Ao Muong. Beautiful room with a balcony and view of the glorious bay, good food, and terrific staff. They really are the best. The hotel itself needs some maintenance, particularly near the beach, but a bit funky doesn t really bother me. Also, it would be nice to have internet access every evening. Not available for several evenings.

although the hotel is closed for 3 months before we arrive, the condition is still excellent. Magnificent sea view of Mango Bay in our room, just cannot wait dashing down the bay snorkeling as we arrive, we are greeted by numerous beautiful coral fish and corals that stunned us. The restaurant has an even better sea view, with reasonably priced dish, one could have a unbeatable experience eating there if you enjoy Thai food. Most importantly, people working there is very very nice. Cho is a lovely girl from Burma that has very professional service and her mother would be cooking in the kitchen. Chim is a very active and amusing young guy that always cannot wait to be your friend and serve. Other than that people there i cannot remember their names are also extremely nice too!!! BEAUTIFUL RESORT! BEST FOOD WE HAD IN THAILAND FOR 5 WEEKS. STAFF SO WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY, KIND AND HELPFUL. Rooms not well kept, but clean. Wiew was breathtaking. BUT please consider this; No power from 6 am-6 pm. If it rains 1 day what can you do? If the wether is nice the small beach is COVERD with speed boats, longtailboats and lots of people. Makes it really hard to find an open spot for a swim. When all this crowd has dissapeared its so lovely again. You can feed the fishes, enjoy all about this lovely place. Water is so clear perfect for diving and sorkeling. We would really love to com back, if not only for the great thaifood. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

位置较偏远，但是是浮浅的好地点，设施较陈旧（但好像是整个泰国水平都是这样）。但也还算差强人意！

the bungalow was quiet and ok and good to stay at and spend the holiday in. the staff are friendly and helpful. only one little shotcoming is that the food selection is narrow. anyway, i like the ao muong resort. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing place. The view is incredible and most of the rooms share that gorgeus landscape. The food is good and the staff is really helpfull and always with a smile. The only thing is that when is a rainy season or windy days, the access to the hotel can be difficult. In this case is perfect if you want to isolate. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The hotel was not ready for opening actually in that week. There was no boat for transportation so we have to hike in mountain for 20 mins to get at the hotel. The bedsheet was not changed apparently because i found parts of an used condom wrap in the bedsheet which is disgusting, and there were hundreds of bugs in the night for unknown reasons. The hotel people were very nice but the facility is really really not ready for stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

非常美丽的海湾，非常舒适的小木屋，还有脸上常带着笑容的服务员，让我们享受了一个绝美的假期，尤其是对于我们两位水性不好的女士来说，浅浅的沙滩和岸边生长的珊瑚礁尤其难得，相信我们还会再来的，对了，还要大力赞扬酒店的船老大，让我们在回程（酒店-码头）的惊涛骇浪中安全返回！

Heavenlike view! Very friendly staff! Exquisite room decoration! Isolated location assures privacy!! We ran into typhoon when going to Mango bay from the Pier, usually it takes 20 min to go, but we were stucked on the sea for 4 HOURS!!! The capitain of our ferry (Nickname: Rumbo~!) tried his MOST to take care of us, by the end, he delivered us - 5 person and our luggages seperately - by kayaking!! One by one from mouth of the bay to the hotel in the dark stormy night! It was heartquake experience for us, And because of him, it is now an advanture that we talk over and over again~~

Time I ve spent in Ao-Muong is the best time in Thailand visit. It s not the hotel with the best facility but a place with most natural atmosphere and most friendly staffs. It s like a big private garden. Everything is made in wood. You can totally enjoy the water here because there is the best clear see, white beach and all snorking, boating facilities to use, for free. The cliff restaurant is very good. Not only the view but also the food. I strongly recommend this hotel. It s not as famous as the other hotel in Mango Bay because that one is in LP. However, I think AO-Muong is better! The resort is isolated to the village and can only accessed by boat for free pick up service. The fantastic seaview is the best across all the resort we have stayed in kok tao (especailly better than nanyuan). The young manager is lovely and very helpful. Everything is perfect and way beyond our expectation. The location of restaurant is also excellent to see the star and beautiful mango bay. We stay in the best room type 101 in the main building. It has the best seaview. in general this is a peaceful place to stay. but note that electronic is only available from 6:30pm-6:30am. during daytime, the little bay may not be quiet sometimes because of its perfect diving site for visitors.
